Is this really how people work?

How is this different from a hiring site?

Do we still need a written contract?

Keep your agreement for scope, IP and the legal terms. Tesserow holds the numbers from it (rates, weekly budgets, hour caps, dates). Both sides confirm them once, then work inside them.

Will it stay in line with our actual contract?

The terms are entered once and confirmed by both sides, so the record matches what you agreed. Caps and end dates hold on their own; changing terms means new terms both sides confirm.
